Committee of Management
The day to day management of Bentleigh West Kindergarten is managed by a voluntary Committee of Management made up of current parents. Glen Eira City Council owns the property, with the Kindergarten program being funded by the Department of Education and Training (DET).
Some of the Committee’s responsibilities are:

Ensuring that BWK meets appropriate statutory requirements;

Staff recruitment;

Managing finances;

Maintaining buildings, gardens and equipment;

Co-ordinating enrolments;

The committee is elected by the parents at the Annual General Meeting which is usually held in November of each year.
Meetings are held monthly (excluding January). Please note that whilst the Committee is involved in the day-to-day management of the kindergarten, active and enthusiastic support from all our parents is necessary for the successful and smooth running of the Kinder.
Bentleigh West Kindergarten Inc. is registered as Children's Services Centre Class 1, meeting the requirements of the Department of Education and Training (DET), The Education and Care Services National Regulations, Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework (2009), Education and Care Services National Law Act 2010, National Quality Standard 2012 and the policies and procedures of the service.
