Bear Scavenger Hunt
Do you love the story ‘We're Going on a Bear Hunt?’ This scavenger hunt has been designed with this story in mind. You can read the book first and then take the scavenger hunt sheet with you as you go for a walk.
As you walk and explore your community try and find and tick off all the different parts of the story, you might need to use a bit of imagination here.
Can you find some mud? What about long grass? Can you find some eyes? You might like to take your own teddy with you. Can you find something for each part of the story? Was there anything you couldn’t find? As you walk you might like to take a photo and share it with us or a friend.
The Very Hungry Caterpillar Scavenger Nature Hunt
Do you love the story ‘The Very Hungry Caterpillar?’ This scavenger hunt has been designed with this story in mind. You can read the book first if you have a copy at home. Then put on some comfortable walking shoes, print the scavenger hunt sheet and take something to collect items in (eg as basket). As you walk and explore your community try and collect some natural objects eg leaves, bark etc.. Can you find a leave that is round for eyes? Can you find something small for the caterpillar legs? When you get home the fun begins. Create a butterfly and caterpillar using the objects you found. If you like send us a photo of your creation!
Where is the Green Sheep? Nature Hunt
Do you love the story ‘Where is the Green Sheep?’ This nature hunt has been designed with this story in mind. You can read the book first if you have a copy at home. Then put on some comfortable walking shoes, print the nature hunt sheet and take something to collect items in (eg basket). As you walk and explore your community try and collect some natural objects to make a green sheep collage. When you get home the fun begins as it’s time to create your sheep.
